What is Monito, you ask?
Monito is an animated series
produced by Virus Entertainment. Since its original inception in spring
2003 as a high school art project, Monito has grown into a three
episode miniseries totalling over an hour of computer animation. The
series is produced by Virus Entertainment, which consists of Buddy
Fischer (myself, the webmaster) and John Kieres.
I put this website up in
Summer 2004 as a way to inform people about Monito with some other
method than simply word-of-mouth. My original intention (back when we
were working on episode 1) was to allow Internet users to download the
whole show off the server. But there were technical difficulties (i.e.
me being too cheap to pay for actual webspace or a domain name, and the
fact that each episode is contained in a 60 megabyte file) so you won't
find the full episodes available for download.
I did put some cool
behind-the-scenes shit in the FAQ page, however, and anyone interested
in the show can see a little bit about what goes into making the
cartoon.
In addition to the FAQ, I
have some random stuff in the downloads section, and a video clips
section that shows some previews of Monito for those who haven't seen
it and want a glimpse of what the full episodes look like.
There will also be a message
board or something, but I haven't set that up yet. Yeah, the website
isn't totally operational, so sue me, I'm a college student.
